HOW DO I BOOK A PROJECT IN?

Contact Motif either through our website contact form, or email bec@motifcreative.com.au. We will then send you a custom quotation, based on your completed creative brief.  If you are happy to proceed, we will send a deposit invoice and schedule your project, giving you an approximate timeline that you will receive concepts.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS INVOLVED?

  • Read through Motif Creative Design’s T&C’s found on our website.
  • Contact Motif via email or contact form.
  • You will receive a link to a creative brief questionaire to fill in – take your time to answer all the questions, as this will greatly help with the design process.
  • We will send a deposit invoice, and schedule your project.
  • Motif will work on concepts based on your brief, and send designs via email in pdf format for your approval.
  • We encourage you to take your time to view your concepts and think about any revisions you may have.
  • Minor tweaks and amendments are expected, 2 rounds of revisions are included in your quoted price, however additional revisions will be charged at an hourly rate. We will inform you when you are about to exceed the original quoted cost.
  • Once you are happy with your logo or design project, you will be required to make approval via our online website approval (found on our terms and conditions page).
  • An invoice will be issued, payment is required to release final digital files, or prior to sending projects to print or development.
  • If projects are proceeding to print, you will receive an estimated delivery time.

HOW MUCH DOES YOUR DESIGN WORK COST?

  • Each project is different, we are more than happy to quote on any of your design requirements.

HOW LONG DOES A DESIGN TAKE

  • This depends on the type of job you are requiring as each project is different. We will supply you with an rough estimate of design and print times. Allow approximately 2 weeks for initial logo concepts. If your project is running behind schedule, you will receive an update to keep you informed. Any changes to the scope of the project can effect the completion date.

WILL I OWN THE COPYWRITE TO MY LOGO DESIGN?

  • Yes. Once you have paid in full, your design belongs to you.

WHAT IF I’M NOT HAPPY WITH MY CONCEPTS

  • Motif Creative Design makes every effort to deliver concepts to suit your brief. Please ensure your brief form is filled out as comprehensively as possible. If you are not happy with the concepts provided by us, and the amends do not fall within minor ‘revisions’ to the project, you can then pay for further concepts to be developed or choose to not proceed, and be charged for ‘work to date’.

HOW MANY REVISIONS AM I ALLOWED IN MY PROJECT?

  • You are allowed endless revisions, however only two rounds of revisions are included in the quoted price (price list or custom quotation). Any amendments outside of the quotation, are charged at an hourly rate.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR BUSINESS CARD DESIGN, IF I HAVE A LOGO AND AM PAYING FOR PRINTING

  • Yes. All design work, no matter how small must be paid for. A business card takes time to design & lay out, supply various concepts, make revisions and supply files for printing in correct formats.

WHAT FILES DO YOU SUPPLY ARTWORK IN?

  • Motif Creative Design supplies files to printers at a minimum of 300 dpi or as high resolution PDF files. We supply logo files to the Client in print and web formats, as EPS. PNG. JPEG. PSD. GIF and PDF.
  • High Resolution PDFs of artwork can be supplied at your request at the time of project completion. Any files after project completion, will incur a fee, to cover times spent to retrieve files from archives. Any additional file format supply will also incur a fee charged at an hourly rate.

CAN YOU ORGANISE PRINTING FOR MY PROJECT?

  • Yes. Motif works with many different printers, we can organise and supervise your printing.

HOW LONG WILL MY PRINTING TAKE?

  • Printing time frames vary from job to job. We will obtain an estimate from the printers and let you know approximate delivery dates. If you have a deadline to meet, please inform us.

CAN YOU DO RUSH JOBS?

  • Yes, you may be charged a rush fee, which can be discussed when booking.

DO YOU DESIGN WEBSITES?

  • Motif no longer offers web design services.

DO YOU HAVE WEB DEVELOPERS THAT YOU RECOMMEND?

  • We have web designer / developers that we can recommend to you and will give you their contact details, should you wish to obtain a quote for development.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FIND A MISTAKE IN MY PRINTED JOB?

  • Whilst all care is taken by Motif Creative Design, we are not responsible for any spelling, grammatical, numerical errors or omissions after final approval. Even if these errors are made by Motif, it is your responsibility to proof read and check thoroughly your projects to identify any errors prior to approval.
  • You will be fully responsible for reprint and productions costs should you decide to print again.
  • Approval is required for all projects, via online approval form or email, prior to work being released.

WHY DO MY IMAGES LOOK BLURRY IN MY PRINTED PIECE

  • If your images look blurry or pixelated, it is most likely due to supply of poor quality imagery. We will let you know if we believe your supplied images are not of print quality standard.

WHY DOESN’T MY PRINTED JOB LOOK LIKE IT DID ON THE SCREEN?

  • Colour on projects can vary from screen to final product. Screen proofing is not indicative of final printed piece. Printed colours can vary from printer to printer, job to job, run to run, or even front to back, due to the nature of the CMYK printing process.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS

  • Deposits are required for all projects.
  • Final payment is required prior to releasing final digital files and/or supplying files for printing and websites. Payment must be made within 7 days of the date of the invoice.
  • Payment can be made via direct deposit. International Clients can make payment via PayPal. International Clients are required to make payment in full, prior to commencement of projects.

DO YOU DESIGN WORK FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

  • Yes! However, payment is required prior to commencing any project.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT

  • Motif requires a 50% deposit for logo and design work, payable prior to commencement on your project. You will be invoiced prior to releasing files or sending artwork to print. All work not completed within a 3 month period will be invoiced.
